Experiments targeting advanced solutions for controlling wireless networks and using WiSHFUL

From 2016-05-13 00:00:00 to 2016-06-24 00:00:00

This second WHiSFUL Open Call aims at experiments targeting advanced solutions for controlling wireless networks using the WiSHFUL software platform and unified programming interfaces (UPIs) and using the facilities and hardware supported by the WiSHFUL Consortium. Under this call, there will be two categories of experiments: * Scientific Excellence (WiSHFUL-OC2-EXP-EXC) category, with a budget of € 100, 000, expects to fund at least 2 experiments with a maximum budget of € 50,000, that will receive a minimum of € 10,000.* Innovation by SMEs (WiSHFUL-OC2-EXP-SME), with a budget of € 115,000, expects to fund at least 3 experiments with a maximum budget of € 40,000, that will receive a minimum of € 15,000. Theseexperiments should be of a short duration (maximum 6 months) and can be inspired by, but not limited to, the following example showcases: * Efficient airtime management, * Co-existence of heterogeneous technologies, * Load & interference-aware MAC adaptation, * Load and topology aware routing adaptation, * Mesh network for the portable testbed. Proposals will only be accepted from a single party and proposers must be eligible for participation inEC H202 projects and, in addition, onlyproposals from small and medium-sizeEnterprises (including unipersonal companies and individuals) will be eligible for the experiments in th category “Innovation by SMEs”.Previous to application submission there must be a feasibility check. For the feasibility check, it is essential that the proposing party gets in contact with the WiSHFUL partner in charge of the testbed(s) or software platform(s), which are intended to be used for the proposed Experiment, to discuss its feasibility within the WiSHFUL federation and the related specific requirements. Each proposing party must therefore identify a possible Patron either by contacting an appropriate WiSHFUL partner. The proposing party must submit its draft proposal to the Patron by Thursday 16th, June, 2016, at 17:00 hours, Brussels local time. The feedback will be provided by the Patron at the latest by Wednesday, 22nd, June, 2016 at 17:00 hours. Submission deadline is on, June, 24th, 2016, at 17:00 h., Brussels local time. The WiSHFUL project (Wireless Software and Hardware platforms for Flexible and Unified radio and network controL) is funded by the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 Programme and will reduce the threshold for experimentation in view of wireless innovation creation and by increasing the realism of experimentation.
